As of 4/2025, our highly rated Google Nest Combo Detector will be discontinued and replaced by a First Alert product.
Bad news, as the Google Nest detector was our highest rated and highest loved detector. Everyone that we installed them for loved them. We hope First Alert’s new product to succeed the Google Nest Detector will be equal in quality and demand to this product.
In the recent months, the Google Nest Detector has been hard to obtain from Amazon. Sounds like Google was slowly deprecating their inventory.
Look for more news on this in the future from us. We will let you know how the new First Alert product works when we start installing them.

Frustrating. Now more different apps needed to use the functionality of the Google Nest detector. Seems like more divergence in this product space instead of more consolidation.
